Cheers to the upcoming New Year!

Sunday.
The last Sunday of the year...
The last Sunday of the decade actually. Scary to think about right? I still remember year 2000 like it was yesterday. Everyone flocking into old navy to get their Y2K shirts.. Man where does the time go? I swear every single year time goes by faster & faster.

I feel like my New Years resolution came earlier this year. Or maybe I just had a plan for myself. Because instead of waiting until January 1st I feel like at some point last spring/summer I just set goals for myself & kept It going. Sometimes I feel like I get WAY ahead of myself... Then poor mike is like “Slooowww down Jamie one thing at a time” but I’m totally one of those people who once they get something or an idea in their head they won’t stop until they get it.

I absolutely love to teach myself new things so you already know I have a list of things I want to accomplish in 2020 such as learning the art of beekeeping, Experiencing my first kidding session this spring(hopefully!), expanding my garden, maybe attempting to quit cussing like a trucker before my kid ends up a millionaire from his “swear jar”, spending more time with Brayden now that I’m down to part time at work.... but how about a list of what I’ve accomplished to far this year! Because goals just stay goals until you accomplish them!

•Raised 12 chicks from a day old
•Planted a Redbud tree
•Raised 2 baby goats into monsters 🤣
•Planted all new landscaping
•Made a 15x15 garden & learned how to maintain it.
•Got a puppy
•Started “Blogging”
•Learned how to coparent better & have a better relationship with my sons father
•Taught myself some technology (I’m pretty much Amish)
•Got 4 cats (RIP Wrangler💙)
•Almost got killed by a rooster (multiple times)
•Survived 4 seasons at our new home
•Made our house a home
•Made a website
•Survived being alone for MONTHS with mike working out of town.
•Made our barn livable for the animals 🤣
•Got my F150 😎
•Took little trips (which was a goal)
•Learned how to make goat milk soap
•Started my own small business out of nothing!!
•Went down to part time to spend more time with Brayden
•Lost friends but learned which ones are true
•Started a greenhouse
•Painted almost every single room in our house (myself!!!)
•Learned you have to take the good with the bad
•Made new friends
•Realized sometimes you need to come first
•Learned I can do anything to put my mind to
•Survived threw a year of hardships & came out stronger

It may be tiny little things but it’s a lot to me! I’ve changed ALOT this year. I’ve learned a lot about myself. I’ve changed a lot about myself. & I’m definitely a better person! I’m not perfect but I’m no where near being done improving myself yet. I have so many goals for this year & I can’t wait for this crazy ride of 2020!

Tuesday we are headed to Galena to stay at the Desoto House Hotel for our anniversary! New Year’s Eve starts chapter 5 for Mike & I!!

HAVE A WONDERFUL NEW YEARS EVERYONE🖤

  • from knowing you you only through your warrenville office, i think you are an amazing example of what a person can accomplish with hard work, honesty and tolerance. a sense of humor goes a long way since you have to put up with folks like me…
but, that aside, i really love the lavender mist and saddle burn man-soap.
